Iowa Income Tax Rate 2017 - 2018

Iowa state income tax rate table for the 2017 - 2018 filing season has nine income tax brackets with IA tax rates of 0.36%, 0.72%, 2.43%, 4.5%, 6.12%, 6.48%, 6.8%, 7.92% and 8.98% for Single, Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, and Head of Household statuses. The Iowa tax rate and tax brackets are unchanged from last year.

Iowa income tax rate and tax brackets shown in the table below are based on income earned between January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017. Outlook for the 2018 Iowa income tax rate is to remain unchanged.

  • Tax rate of 6.48% on taxable income between $23,596 and $31,460.
  • Tax rate of 6.8% on taxable income between $31,461 and $47,190.
  • Tax rate of 7.92% on taxable income between $47,191 and $70,785.
  • Tax rate of 8.98% on taxable income over $70,785.

For the Single, Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, and Head of Household filing statuses, the IA tax rates remain the same.
