Printable State Tax Form 1 and Instructions

Printable Massachusetts (MA) state income tax Form 1 must be postmarked by April 17, 2018 in order to avoid penalties and late fees. Printable Massachusetts state tax forms for the current tax year will be based on income earned between January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017.

To check the status of your MA Form 1 income tax refund online, visit the Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) website and use their Check Refund Status service. Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) estimates that you could receive your refund in as few as seven business days if you e-file, compared to several weeks if you mail in a paper return. Paper refund checks will usually be issued within two weeks.

To retrieve the status of your Massachusetts income tax refund for 2017 you will need the following information:

  • Tax Year
  • Social Security Number
  • Refund Amount

The requested information must match what was submitted on your MA Form 1 state income tax forms for the current year. The Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR) refund lookup service can be used to query the income tax years 2015, 2016, 2017.
