2017 Hawaii N-13 Short Form and Instructions
Hawaii N-13 Short Form has been discontinued by the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation. The trend across all states is to discontinue the individual short form because most users of the short form opt to file online. You can print and file the longer Form N-11 if you don't want to file online.

Hawaii State Income Tax Refund Status
To check the status of your N-11 Long Form, N-13 Short Form, or N-15 Nonresident / Part-Year Resident Form income tax refund online, visit the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation website and use their Tax Refund Status service. State of Hawaii Department of Taxation states on their website that e-filed returns take about 4-6 weeks to process. Mailed in paper income tax returns take about 6-8 weeks to process. To retrieve the status of your HI income tax refund for 2017 you will need the following information:
- Social Security Number
- Refund Amount
The requested information must match what was submitted on your N-11 Long Form, N-13 Short Form, or N-15 Nonresident / Part-Year Resident state income tax forms for the current year.
