2018 Schedule 2 Form and Instructions
Printable IRS Form 1040 Schedules For Last 3 Years
On page two of IRS Form 1040, line 11, the taxpayer is asked to add the amount from Schedule 2, line 47. Form 1040 Schedule 2, Tax, was created as part of the Form 1040 redesign implemented this tax year. You do not file IRS Schedule 2 with the older 1040 series forms such as Form 1040A or Form 1040EZ.
Form 1040 Schedule 2, Tax, asks that you report any additional taxes that can't be entered directly onto Form 1040. The 2018 Schedule 2 Instructions are not published as a separate booklet. Instead, you will need to read the Schedule 2 line item instructions found within the general Form 1040 instructions booklet.
Examples of when to use Form 1040 Schedule 2:
- Alternative minimum tax.
- Excess advance premium tax credit repayment.
