Printable State PIT-1 Tax Form and Instructions
Printable New Mexico (NM) state income tax form PIT-1 must be postmarked by April 18, 2017 in order to avoid penalties and late fees. Printable New Mexico state tax forms for the current tax year will be based on income earned between January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. The New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department will expect your 2016 income tax forms to be printed on high quality printers. Today's laser, bubble-jet, or ink-jet printers are generally acceptable. New Mexico State Income Tax Refund Status
To check the status of your PIT-1 income tax refund online, visit the New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department website and use their Where Is My Refund service. New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department states that you could receive your refund within 2 to 4 weeks if you efile compared to 6 to 8 weeks if filing on paper. To retrieve the status of your NM income tax refund for 2016 you will need the following information:
- Social Security Number or ITIN
- Amount of refund requested
The requested information must match what was submitted on your PIT-1 state income tax forms for the current year. The New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department refund lookup service can only be used to query the current income tax year 2016. Contact the New Mexico Taxation & Revenue Department service center by phone or mail if you are having trouble using the service or need to discuss a prior year income tax return.
