Minnesota State Income Tax Refund Status
To check the status of your M1 or M1NR income tax refund online, visit the Minnesota Department of Revenue website and use their Where's My Refund service. Minnesota Department of Revenue states that it can take up to 30 days to process an income tax refund. To reduce the processing time, select the direct deposit option. To retrieve the status of your MN income tax refund for 2014 you will need the following information:
- Social Security Number
- Type of Tax Return
- Tax Year
- Refund Amount
The requested information must match what was submitted on your M1NR or M1 state income tax forms for the current year. To look up prior year refunds, you will need to contact the Minnesota Department of Revenue service center by phone, email, or mail.
