Tracy, and Altamont Motorsports Park, California — TaxBrain.com announced today an agreement with Justin Philpott Racing to become the team's primary sponsor for their NASCAR® 2007 Whelen All American Series entry.
In an intensive, ground-up effort, the organization will be fielding two cars this season featuring veteran driver David Philpott and the 16 year old, rising-star Justin Philpott. “Our eyes are firmly set on a championship season at Altamont in preparation to move Justin and the team to the Grand Nationals in 2008”, said Craig Petz, Vice President of Marketing for TaxBrain's parent company Petz Enterprises, Inc.
“As a logo sponsor for the past three years, we've seen 40 years of Philpott racing experience take on a whole new energy. Crew Chief and two-time Craftsman Mechanic of the Year award winner, John Philpott, began racing at Altamont in 1966. Since that time, the Philpott teams have racked up countless awards and a tremendous reputation in Northern California”, Petz continued. “This season, the team fielded two cars in 33 events, simultaneously competing at the Stockton 99 Speedway and Altamont Motorsports Park, clearly demonstrating their formidable organizational depth”

Justin Philpott Named “Rookie of the Year 2006” in the final season of the legendary Stockton 99 Speedway
On November 18, the three-generation family racing team received awards, accolades and a new sponsorship commitment at a gala event in Modesto, California, hosted by the Altamont Motorsports Park and Stockton 99 Speedway. The evening was capped with the 2006 Rookie of the Year Award from Stockton 99 Speedway going to young Justin.

“The reaction to the promotion was phenomenal,” added Mr. Petz. “ It quickly became one of the most viewed and emailed during the last week of August. Clips were also aired on more than 350 TV stations around the country as well as on ESPN, Sports Illustrated.com and even NBC's Today show”
At the end of the award festivities on November 18, NASCAR Vice President Jim Hunter announced a new title sponsor for the series beginning in 2007. Whelen Engineering, a Connecticut-based manufacturer of emergency lighting and warning systems, will become the title sponsor of the series, which will be re-named as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.
